About

Professional Experience

Dwayne Weidendorf is the founding partner of Hoko Consulting and has over thirty years of executive level management experience. He started his own media company in Southern Ontario in 1994, and successfully learned all the street fighting techniques required to run a profitable business. In 1999, he sold his business and for the next twenty-five years, entered the corporate media world running large divisions as Group Publisher/General Manager for Black Press Media and Metroland Media. Dwayne has always had an entrepreneurial and innovative edge to his management style and has proven to be a dynamic leader with a passion for helping businesses.

After three decades of forming meaningful relationships with businesses and non-profits, Dwayne observed first-hand that many organizations lacked strategic planning expertise and needed support with leadership, sales training, conflict resolution and media relations. All key components of running a successful business. These experiences resulted in the opening of Hoku Consulting. Without a well thought out strategic plan, dynamic leadership, growing sales and a good communication plan - businesses will struggle to find “their way” in the unforgiving business world. Dwayne and his team of business consultants formulated a strong mission for HOKU consulting; "Inspiring leaders to believe anything is possible with the right plan and people".

Education & Qualifications

Dwayne is a 5th degree black belt in karate and a published author of “Mojo from the Karate Dojo” - Life Lessons from a karate expert. Personal

Dwayne lives with his family in the Greater Vancouver area in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. When he’s not working with businesses and non-profits helping them reaching their goals, there’s a good possibility that you will find him conquering an “unsurmountable mountain” on his bike, “powder skiing” in some of the best ski terrain in the world, or trying to land that “big fish” in the Pacific Ocean.
